Ogan School Development Project began as a dream for Fola Soboyejo who has a heart for the children in Ogan, Nigeria. Together with supporters and friends they are making an impact on this area of Africa to make a difference in the lives of many children. THE PLACE & THE NEED: United Anglican School in Ogan Town is a 100-year-old elementary school attended by children from Ogan and 4 neighbouring villages. Until a few years ago there was 3 buildings of 3 classrooms each however, due to aging and structural material two of the buildings have collapsed. The only surviving cement block of 3 classrooms built about 15 years ago is school to about 200 children from kindergarten to Grade 6 who do daily rotations and shifts, enduring half-day schooling. THE GOAL: To build 6 classrooms, a multi-purpose hall with library, computer room, adult education, and water closet washrooms over the next 30 months.
